Citicoline May Slow Glaucoma Progression

The supplement citicoline may significantly slow the progression of glaucoma, according to new research published in Ophthalmologica. Researchers at the Sao Paolo Hospital Eye Clinic at the University of Milan studied 41 patients with progressing glaucoma over a two-year period. The patients received 500 mg of citicoline in an oral solution, and by the end of the study, participants experienced a dramatic drop in the glaucoma’s rate of progression.
