Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, or ACE inhibitors, are commonly prescribed medications used to treat high blood pressure. Drugs in this classification include captopril, enalapril and lisinopril. The University of Maryland Medical Center does not list garlic as a contraindicated supplements for ACE inhibitors directly, but reinforces the fact that garlic can thin the blood and exaggerate activity of heart medications.
